Experimental Edition –
the entry into the Stirling engine CHP technology
With the offer of our Experimental Edition we want to give researchers, schools and universities the opportunity to discover the behaviour of the engines experimentally and to develop their own applications. The following devices use the alphagamma® Stirling module Gen70:
Experimental Edition I
Stirling module Gen70 for external heat supply, equipped with starter and rectifier control for connecting 24V batteries, max. charging capacity 43 A, connections for cooling water supply, displays for starter and charging current, process pressure, cooling water and heater temperature.

Stirling engines for external heat supply
This product range is intended exclusively for companies that have the relevant experience and technical approvals in dealing with hot gases, combustion technology, exhaust gas regulations and electrotechnical control technology. Gen70T
Stirling generator module with large-area finned heat exchanger for transferring thermal energy using hot gases. A typical application is the utilisation of low-ash combustion gases from biomass furnaces, which are routed via the heat exchanger. In a similar way, heat can be transferred from thermal batteries, process furnaces or other heat sources. The minimum temperature of the supplied hot gas should be 1000 degrees C, the cooling down value at the heat exchanger is approx. 250-300 degrees C. A turbo blower for circulating the transport gas is currently under development. The rated output of 1000 watts (24 or 48 volts) is reached as soon as the temperature at the heater head has reached 700 degrees C, but the generator of the unit already delivers an output from approx. 350 degrees C. The performance specifications are identical to those of Gen70G Stirling module.
Gen70D
Stirling generator module with disc-shaped heat exchanger. Typical applications are concentrated solar heat or integration into thermal batteries.
The front of the heat exchanger can be used directly as a receiver for a solar mirror or a solar lens. When used in thermal storage units, it is ideal for transferring heat from liquid metals such as sodium or aluminium.
The maximum temperature at the disc surface is up to 850 degrees C. The rated output of 1000 watts (24 or 48 volts) is reached as soon as this temperature reaches 700 degrees C, but the generator of the unit already delivers power from approx. 350 degrees C. The performance specifications are identical to those of Gen70G Stirling module.

MobilGen™
Extremely compact and quiet unit with integrated starter batteries for supplying power to transit trucks or mobile homes, heating and optional cooling devices. Installation of MobilGen ™ allows continuous operation of a stationary air conditioner and, thus, significantly saving in battery mass.
Development status: demonstration level
YachtGen
Like MobilGen, but without battery pack. This unit has an even higher level of sound insulation and is therefore suitable for inboard installation in yachts – without compromising on the night’s rest.
Development status: demonstration level
HomeGen
Like YachtGen, but with integrated battery storage for uninterrupted power supply, heat and optionally also cooling for apartments and low-energy houses.
